Description
- Medium Grit: This medium 280-grit stone is perfect for restoring a sharp, usable edge to any dull blade or chisel. You can use it by itself as an EDC or kitchen knife sharpener or as part of a multi-stage process for a more refined edge, progressive from coarse to fine grits. It makes a great addition to any pocket knife sharpening kit.
- Fine Grit: This fine 600-grit stone is perfect for restoring a sharp, polished edge to any dull blade or chisel. Use it directly after using the medium grit side for best results.
- Non-Slip Base: This Lansky diamond sharpening system has a rubberized non-slip base, ensuring it remains sturdy while in use. It makes it easier to get that perfect angle and produces a consistent, refined edge, unlike many cheap chef knife sharpeners on the market today.
- Diamond Hone: As in many Lansky knife sharpener kits, this item uses diamond abrasive to remove material from blades and hone a new edge. The extreme hardness of diamond makes it an ideal sharpener for knives. Due to the nature of diamond abrasive, it is recommended that you don't use honing oil on diamond stones.
- Simple: You don't need the whole Lansky knife sharpener angle guide system to have a sharp blade. This Bench Stone keeps it simple with a single grit and allows you to pick any angle for your bevel.
The edge-to-edge diamond surface on the Lansky bench stone makes for quick, efficient sharpening. The green, medium side (280 grit) will quickly recondition your blades. The blue Fine side (600 grit) will produce and maintain a micro-serrated working edge, polishing away the marks from lower grit stones. A perfect addition to any craftsmans workshop, the diamond abrasives on Lanskys bench stone sharpeners are excellent for repairing and maintaining a large range of tools from dull and damaged kitchen knives, to well-maintained woodworking chisels.
